Happy Flappy Lucy

This girl is just so much fun to take pictures of because she is so smiley and so cute!
She is one happy, flappy Lucy girl!

Matchy Matchy Girls

Once Lexie got home from school and was holding Lucy, we noticed that all of the girls are wearing blue. So, had to try and capture the cuteness. Eliza really didn't want anything to do with it.
Until she decided Lucy needed some kisses.
And Andrew just couldn't stay away-how he loves that Lucy, and his zipper tag.

More Snow Fun

Alas, we had school today! Boo! But Rick had a delayed opening. Joseph & Lexie rushed to get ready for school so they could go out and play. They jumped off of the porch so many times this morning! Too fun.
Our sweet neighbor, Ule, who moved this fall, left us one of his snow blowers and today Rick thought it would be a great day to try it out.
And Lexie decided to have a snowball fight with the snow blower (dad).
She's got her snowball ready-
 Attack!
I think dad won.
Andrew was happy to find a ball buried in the snow.
Tonight for Family Home Evening, we made two kinds of snow ice cream and also went night sledding!
Rick is an expert mixer!
Finished products. Our kids liked the sweetened condensed milk version rather than the sugar version!
Off to the school for sledding!
Faster than a speeding bullet...
It was a great time! And it's always nice to have fun, fun days like these!

Dressed for Church

Today was Stake Conference. I didn't even know it was supposed to snow last night & today until Pres. Todd mentioned it at the adult session last night. And sure enough, this morning we had snow. The older kids got ready for church quickly so they could go help shovel and set up chairs with Rick.
I love seeing how Andrew dresses himself each week. He's such a handsome boy!
Plenty of snow on top of our last snow a few days ago. (We ended up with like 10 inches I think, I should check.) They ended up making Stake Conference optional because of the roads. We decided to go ahead and do it. They weren't too bad today, but hopefully school is cancelled because I can imagine the mess they'll be tomorrow.
And cute Lucy after church.
And Joseph, who sorely needs a haircut.
We spent the rest of the day playing games and having lots of fun with Andrew's glowsticks tonight. Hooray for fun snowdays!

Playing with the Bink

So Lucy doesn't usually take a bink. Like hardly ever. I think she's taken it maybe twice. Tonight during scriptures, Eliza brought it down for her to play with and Lucy started sucking on it, so we thought we'd document her using her Lucy bink.
She's so cute!
But, she's still perfectly content not to have a pacifier, which is perfectly fine with us!
Well, maybe not perfectly content...

Report Card Time

Since getting Lexie from school, she's been singing, "I love report cards" over and over. I'm so glad she does. I'm grateful she and her brothers have such a love of learning and are doing so well in school. Her comment of criticism this report card went something like, "Maybe Alexis could spend a little more time on her work rather than rushing through it to read every free moment that she can. I love that she loves to read..." Anyway, it made me laugh. This girl always has her nose in a book and does use every free moment in class on reading-I've seen it- so she's going to try and take a little more time on her work-even though she does it well and right the first time, it's good to show effort and care into it, too.

Snow Fun

We had a lot of good snow today. By 9 am we had over 6 inches (& at 5ish it had barely started). Unfortunately we had school. We ended up with over a foot. So after school, sledding was a must.
The older kids are Rick started out on one hill and watched the deer for a bit then moved over so I could watch better.
Andrew is all smiles!
Lexie is worn out already! Or maybe she's trying to catch snowflakes.
These 8 deer hung out for quite awhile. I haven't seen many deer around here until now. I wonder if they'll stick around.
 Wheee!!
See, so nice to move over for me so I could see better. Eliza wanted to go, then she didn't, then she did...and so on, so we stayed home to watch the kids sled.
It didn't take too long until Eliza said she wanted to go sledding again.
So we hurried out to sled also, for just a few runs. I didn't want dinner to burn.
Eliza was less than thrilled about sledding. But because she wanted to go so badly, we made her go down twice. :)
And once Lexie crossed over the sidewalk for the umteenth time, she was worn out and ready to head home for some dinner.
And the lovely pile reminding us what a great day we had in the snow!
