We were lucky enough to have our sweet Vivi friend get to stay with us for a few days while here parents were off for a fun vacation. She is always a joy to have around and the kids were in heaven with Vivi over all of the time.
This week someone at the school asked me if I was going to have another kid. I thought, "Six would be a piece of cake if the 6th were Vivi." She was such a help & kept everyone happy & was just lots of fun, it was awesome! We'll take you anytime!
(Unfortunately we also had tons of sickness this week. Eliza had a fever & got pneumonia-getting a chest x-ray should have been easy-it was not! Lucy got a double ear infection. And the girls both got pinkeye. It was not an awesome week for the girls and we were at the doctors WAY too much! But we're grateful that they are doing better. Although Lucy got the icky rash from the antibiotics.)

Baptism Pictures
This morning I took Joseph to his best friend, Logan's First Communion. It was a good experience.
I stayed home with the girls from church & then we went to Logan's Open House.
After which we headed over to Madison's to take a picture of Joseph & Madison for their Baptism Program.
They are such cute kiddos. We are excited for them to be baptized!

Eliza's Letter
Eliza got a letter in the mail from Aunt Janae and was overjoyed. She carried it around with her EVERYWHERE and would show it to everyone and have us read it to her over and over. Then she read it to us. It was very cute!
You made one little girl super happy with that note! Thanks, Aunt Janae!

Pinewood Derby
Tonight was Joseph's First Pinewood Derby! He and Rick worked for hours and days on his car. Rick was really worried that it wasn't going to be very fast. He was hoping that Joseph would have a decent showing. But he was nervous.
Here he is ready to head over to the church.
It was a lot of fun. All of the boys were so excited! It was awesome to see all of the cars and families there.
Joseph excitedly waiting for it to start. He also enjoyed watching how the computer system worked.
Some of his races:
Just before the races were over, Joseph went to have his baptismal interview with the Bishop. He finished just in time for the awards ceremony.
He got an award for his car having the sharpest angles.
He also won first place for his den.
And got second place overall for the whole pack.
We were all super surprised but also so excited for him. It was a really fun night!
We're excited to try again next year. And Andrew is beyond excited to learn how to make his own car.

More Snow!
Eliza got herself ready to go play in the snow!
But Andrew really went out to play in the snow!
And built a tiny little snowman for Lucy.
He is such a sweet big brother!

Earth Day
Joseph's class made a book about things they could do to help the protect the Earth. I liked one of his lines.
I think I shall.

Tunnel Fun
The kids had a blast this morning playing with these tunnels. They crack me up. I can't believe how long they played and there was never any arguing about anything. Just lots and lots of giggles. Those are the best!
And tonight, they went at it again, still not bored.
And I love this one because I love how much Lucy adores Joseph. (All of her siblings, but Joseph especially today.)

Andrew's First Lost Tooth
We went out to dinner at Olive Garden with Uncle Karl and the Barnum boys. While we were there Andrew kept playing with his tooth saying it was in the way of him eating his food. Next thing we know he had pulled his tooth right out! He did a great job!
He was so excited to have lost his first tooth! It's a big moment in a 5 year old's life!
It's going to take some getting used to seeing this new grin. But I sure love it!

Destination Imagination
We had our DI Party today & Deanna got these really fun trophies for the kids!
We are sure going to miss DI & those kids, they are wonderful!

Scissors
So, Eliza tried to cut her hair with some of nail scissors. But she missed and cut her forehead instead.
Poor, silly girl!

Scouts!
Tonight was Joseph's first Scout activity! (I love that I got his scout shirt at a consignment sale for $10!)
When I asked him what he thought he gave me 2 thumbs up!
He's also been working on his first Pinewood Derby car! We were excited that the Derby got pushed back from March 30th to April so he could participate!

Spring Break
We had a lot of fun during Spring Break. We got some jobs done, fun play dates with friends, saw family, and went to Kansas to visit more family and see some friends.
We were so glad that Aunt Megan drove up to visit with us for a few days, too.
And Uncle Nathan!
And Flat Stanley.
And Lucy of course was happy to see Aunt Janae, too.
The girls helped Aunt Megan color breakfast. :)
Sweet little Lucy.
We went out to see Wells Overlook.
Got a fun balloon at lunch.
One of Lexie's highlights was getting her very own quarter of watermelon! She loved it!
Allen Field House
This is the Jayhawk I remember seeing at the parades and games when I was little.
Our kids have pretty small hands compared to some of these players.
We played some games. (I had the highest score for our family on this one. Rick was of course the highest jumper but Joseph was close behind.)
Checked our wingspans...
Lexie got to have some playdates with Tobin.
And Lucy was just cute lots.
And played with Aunt Janae lots.
I love that they have the same expression here.
And I also loved Liza's hair. It was so curly all of the time because of the humidity. It looked awesome!
Lucy liked her cousin Joshua lots.
And all of the kids had a great time playing out back with all of their cousins. They all get along so well.
Everyone enjoyed testing out Grandma's new bed, but especially Rick. He spent quite a bit of time relaxing there.
We sure love Grandma & visiting her house. (As I was typing this up Eliza kept begging to go back.)
And when we got home we had more play dates and lots of pogo sticking.
