the First Place Cake for the school carnival.
And 3rd place went to one of our friends in Lexie's class. Apparently there was a lot of cheering in that kindergarten classroom when the winners were announced!

heard at our house
- A: "Where is the table to the Thanksgiving toy?" E: "Over here by bookshelf." A: "You're lyin', E. It's not here." E: "I not a lion, I Liza! I not a lion, A!"
- The kids just asked I was going as for Halloween M: "The Mama." A: "You're going as Obama? So cool! Are people going to vote for you?" Ummm...doubtful. I guess the fact that we voted today has got him in a great political mindset, however the sign in our yard says we support the other guy. :)
- While learning about talents in Primary. D: "Who has a talent?" A: "Everyone. Well, except people in Germany. They don't even know what that word means."
- A: "I want to be like Batman because he is a hero." M: "Oh, how do you know he's a hero? What makes him one?" A: "Because he has a cape." M: "Oh." A: "And don't forget he also has a mask." Then we talked about what makes a real hero.

Good job! I didn't know there was a contest, too!
Cute! That's a creative way to use a Twinkie (in the front part--right?)
do I see spaghetti?
Yeah Kristy, they had it on one of the pink flyers they sent home. Yes, that is a Twinkie in the front & the back. No, Lori, not spaghetti...took me a minute to figure out where, the light really makes it look like spaghetti. Those are yellow twizzlers. But there may be spaghetti on the floor...
You're amazing. I would never think of making a cake like this, much less figure out how to do it!
Congrats. The cake is very cute. I think I remember that cake for a birthday last year. So what did you win?
Thanks, guys. Good remembery, T. We did make this cake for Joseph's 3rd birthday. We won 20 tickets for it. I know, thrilling.
