Our Sweet Little Girls

Eliza is really warming up to the idea of having Baby Lucy around. Whenever I change Lucy's diaper, Eliza is right there to snuggle up with her.
Gratefully, Lucy doesn't mind too much.
I just love these little rolls on my baby.
Lexie loves to help me get Lucy ready for church.
She also loves to dance with her to Music & the Spoken Word.
Eliza wanted to give Lucy sweet kisses after Andrew did.
And hold her all by herself. She likes to say, "No, Liza do it."
But when Andrew wanted to hold Liza & have Liza hold Lucy...
Liza wanted nothing to do with it.
We certainly love these sweet little girls of ours (& our cute boys, too!)

Ready For Some Football

Tonight was the big BYU vs. Boise State game. Too bad Rick isn't home or it would have been a bigger deal. The kids were excited to stay up late & watch it & have a football brownie for a treat.
She enjoyed just chillin' & watchin' the kids.
It's too bad the game didn't turn out quite as I would have liked, but it was a game & I think Rick was alright with the ending.

Bookworms

I've been meaning to take a picture of this for about a year. This gril is always walking around with her nose stuck in a book. It is a sight seen here every single day, multiple times a day. She's even so good at it now she can bring me the diapers and wipes without even having to stop reading and walking. She is quite talented.
After I took this picture she told me I should record her walking around in a circle around a book. So we did. The funny part was Eliza who followed suit.
After Eliza landed on the couch I said, "Monkey see, monkey do." And Eliza started saying, "Monkey do." Then as she copied everything Lexie did she kept saying it.
And it was just so fitting that she was wearing one of her "monkey shirts" to do it. The other day, I was on the laptop & Eliza pulled out her little toy laptop & typing just like me. Rick said, "Monkey see, monkey do." That phrase is truly quite fitting for this little monkey of ours.

Another Day of Sleeping Beauties

Woohoo! It's 10:15am & the girls are both sleeping! After last night & the whining from Liza this morning, we all needed this.
Now to move them to their beds without distrubing them...that is the trick.

Boys Reading Night

The Elementary School throws really great Reading Nights for the girls & boys. Tonight was the boy's reading night. Unfortunately, Rick is out of town. Fortunately, I asked one of Joseph's best friend's dad if he would mind having another son for the night. He accepted the challenge for the night happily. I'm so grateful he did because Joseph & his friend Logan (as well as everyone else I'm sure) loved it.
The theme for this year was "The Science of Star Wars". Logan's mom thought the boys should dress up & so here is Joseph in his Jedi robes with his light sabre.
While there they climbed over walls, obstacle course, had some jedi training, made tie fighters, drew characters, and much more!
The night was a real success! And the 3 male teachers at the school, did an awesome job putting it together! Joseph was raving about it all night! This morning he started working on the activity book.
Here are the boys having a fun moment.
Lexie is looking forward to Girls Reading Night next week. Another great fun night is in store for us.

Sleeping Beauties

Being one month is really hard work. This little sleeping beauty took some great naps for me today!
And to add to the surprise, so did this little beauty!
And all of that sleeping really wore Lucy out for tonight. I sure hope she sleeps all night long for me! :)

1 Month

Time certainly is flying around here!

One Month Old

How did this happen? She's really one month old! And she is so delightful!
And these two (and the rest of us) just can't get enough of her!

Andrew's FHE Lesson

Since Rick is going out of town for the week, we had Family Home Evening tonight. It was Andrew's turn for the lesson. He did a really good job. He is so creative. And he worked SO hard on it. It was awesome. For his lesson he wanted to make a game. He drew up a game board, made pieces for each team, and had Rick help him write out the different scenerioes for the game. He had things like:
You need to empty the dishwasher but instead you keep playing with toys. 0 points.
You take a toy. 0 points.
You empty the dishwasher without being asked. 98 points.
You clean the house without being asked. You don't throw up when you are sick and your family is eating pizza. 99 points.
You take a toy from your baby sister. When mom asks why sister is crying you say you don't know why. 0 points.
You quickly get a phone when needed. 2 points.
Mom & Dad ask you to get your baby brother or sister a treat. You don't want to because it is your favorite treat. Mom says if you do it they will buy more of your favorite treats for you at the store. 16 points.
You took a toy from your brother and accidentally broke it and lied to mom. 0 points.
It made us all laugh when Joseph & I got 99 points on our first draw then 98 so we had to go backwards & then 16 so we went back to 16. But we won with that as Andrew & Rick got 0 points & Lexie & Eliza got 2.
There may be a few flaws with all of the rules, but we had a blast & Andrew was so happy with it and we had fun together as a family. And really, that's all that matters.

Go Cougars!

This little girl is ready to stay up and watch the big BYU game!
She really hopes the Cougars win!
Unfortunately, they didn't...but they made it another exciting one.

Little Twinners

These two are becoming inseparable. Granted, partly because of their age and when Andrew is around Eliza is there, but if Mom or Dad are doing something with Lucy, Eliza wants to be right there doing the same thing. She insisted on getting a blanket and being "wrapped up" too. It's very cute to watch. Eliza is also getting much better with Lucy being in the house. She's always been really sweet with her, just new tantrums for us. But, those are starting to subside & that makes us very grateful!

Meet Me at the Fair

The kids did a great job in the Primary Program today. It's always a great Sunday. But to add to the greatness, Lexie, Joseph, and Andrew put a fair together for Rick & me in the basement. We first played a game where we moved the blocks with sunglasses. We had to see who could move the most in one minute.

Then we got to use the blocks & build a tower. We had to start with at least 4 for the foundation & then see who could build the tallest one in one minute.
I won that one, too. We would win more tickets after each game to play more games.
Next we had a lego building race. The best boat in 2 minutes. I won that one, too.
Unfortantely, Eliza & Lucy weren't being too happy, so we couldn't finish the fair. We'll have to do it another day. But it was a lot of fun. And we get to look forward to the puzzle race, bowling, animal catching & other games I can't even remember.
