Poor Little Liza got a little road rash today. (See what happens when Mom goes out of town. :) ) Her feet just couldn't keep up with her face while she was running home from picking up the kiddos from school. She's tough & only cried for a few seconds & has acted like nothing happened ever since.
She still is adorable!

Andrew had his last day of preschool! We had a little party this afternoon where they could play outside with lots of fun toys! Everyone enjoyed getting really wet-it was a hot day!
Here's Andrew with Miss Alyse, Ms. Ahn, & Ms. Lori. He loves his teachers!Eliza liked trying to learn how to roll down the hill. It was rather humorous.
This is Andrew & his best friend Brady.
And lastly, here is Andrew with his teacher, Miss Krista.
We have loved his teachers here at the school & have been grateful for all of the help he's gotten with his speech. It's pretty amazing to see the progress he has made in the last 2 years. He is truly going to miss preschool!

The Children's Museum
Andrew's preschool had a Field Trip to the Children's Museum today. It was a lot of fun. He loved the fire fighter spot, the bubble room, and going down the hole in the jungle room (where he could climb through the roots of the tree) & cutting with a saw & playing with the trains & shooting his rocket we made (& the parachute) through the planets...alright, he liked all of it. And he also enjoyed that all of his friends from school were there & played with many of them.

Hail Storm
This afternoon we had a great storm. It hailed for about a half an hour straight and the sun was shining. It was rather pretty. We also had our first tornado warning (but it was all further east) but the kids still ran to the basement just as they should. Here are some pictures of the pretty rainbows & shining rain drops & hail.
Of course my kids wanted to go play out in the hail. And Andrew learned just how hard hail can be when it hits your finger. He got a little cut.
We were very grateful for the rain & that we didn't sustain any damage.

Joseph's Field Day
Since I forgot my camera, Joseph's teacher was so nice to send me some pictures from Field Day. Joseph's favorite part...EVERYTHING!!
Logan, Jackson, Joseph, & Kalani. (Can you guess who wore Andrew's clothes? One downside to "these were my clothes, really" passing down clothes.)
The hurdles.Most of his class.
Bouncy ball race.
Joseph & 2 Emma's throwing the foxtail.
Fishing for marbles.
Water/sponge relay.
Being goofy!

Field Day: Lexie
Today was Lexie's Field Day & boy was it hot out there. Her favorite events were when she got to roll a giant ball around cones. She also liked the otter pop break & the sponge run relay. It's always fun to see all of the fun activities & events that the teachers & helpers put on for the kids.
Joseph's is tomorrow...we're gearing up for another fun day in the sun!

Andrew's Joy School Graduation
Tonight we had Andrew's Joy School Graduation. As we say each Joy School year, (& it's still true) we LOVE Miss Jen & all that she teaches & does for our children. She is amazing & we are all so blessed to have her in our lives.
Here is Andrew showing everyone our Family Flag.
I just love how cute he looks here. They're getting ready to sing their little program for us.
He's swinging his hips for "Oh Boy, I've Got Joy."
Lassoing his arms in "I'm An Old Cowhand."
Bowing.
Pom poms for the school spirit song.
In his Graduation hat.
His class (minus 2 kiddos).

After graduation the kids performed their butterfly song & got to release some of the butterflies they "grew" from caterpillars.
And here is Andrew with Rick & our family flag.
We are really going to miss all of these friends & kiddos at Joy School & miss Miss Jen. She is amazing. And we love Joy School & our Andrew boy & all that he has learned & accomplished!

The Swiss Roll
Rick had a great idea for a Saturday afternoon activity. He calls it The Swiss Roll. He wraps these cute kiddos up in a blanket then tickles them mercilessly & paddles their caboose. (And for some reason they kept coming back for more.) Then he spins them to their freedom.
Here's the unrolling of Andrew:
And here is Joseph:
A Few Words
Eliza is saying a few newish words.
Happy: She will actually dance around a room just saying this over & over. It's very sweet.
Yummy Yummy: I think she got this from Miss Jen. Sometimes to get the kids' attention she will sing, "Fruit Salad" & the kids respond with "Yum Yummy" & Eliza does that.
Apple: Definitely one of her favorite foods to eat at this time & it's cute that she will now ask for it by name. And she will often sign it as well which is also fun.
Weekend Out
After celebrating our Anniversary with the kids as our Family Birthday, we got a babysitter for Friday night & spent the night at a hotel in Denver. We went to the Temple on Friday afternoon & performed sealings. It was kinda funny as we walked in, the Temple President, was talking to one of the workers about Jimmer Fredette. I thought it was odd that they were even talking about him but afterwards we found out why. Jimmer was getting married in the sealing room next to us. As we left the temple we saw him out front getting pictures taken. We congratulated him & his wife & resisted the urge to take a picture for ourselves. It was not at all what we expected to see while at the temple that day.
Then we went out to dinner & they brought us this yummy treat.
We enjoyed our day out together. We figured it had been about 3 years since we've had a night without the kiddos. It was incredible to sleep past 7 o'clock & to wake up in a bed without any kids who have sneaked in during the night. We cannot believe how quickly 10 years have flown by, but are looking forward to what comes next.
