Little Feet

This morning while we were making pancakes for breakfast, these little feet were sticking out & were just so cute I had to take pictures of them.

And then I decided to try some of the features on the camera on them. Yep, still cute feet.

Then I was reminded of some other cute feet I took (and Kristin took) pictures of once upon a time. I can't believe how quickly these feet grow.

I sure love them when they are small and also when these feet grow tall. Hopefully these feet will always take our children to good places. And we pray daily that these feet will help our children stand in holy places.

Busy Saturday

Saturday is a busy day-well, at least the Saturday's in December...
We started out our day with Breakfast with Santa at Rick's work. It's always a fun experience. The breakfast this year was really good-homemade pancakes! The kids were so happy!
The kids also spent the night in their fort that they made yesterday, always fun!
And then there was happy Lucy. We got lots of good smiles from this girl today.

And she got good loves from Sister.
And some pokes.
But she didn't like those too much.
Nope, not one bit.
Well, maybe she's okay with them.
 Or, maybe not...
This afternoon, Eliza was invited to a birthday party for some cute twins in our ward. They decorated gingerbread houses. It was so much fun & so cute. Their mom even made butterscotch windows & put little lights in them so the houses would glow at night. So cute & fun.
And of course Eliza (& some other kids) figured out that the frosting tasted really yummy.
Taking a snack from the finished product.
It was a busy, but super fun day!

St. Nicholas Day

As tradition in our home...It's St. Nicholas Day! We all excitedly put out our shoes last night to see what we would get. Joseph came in around 3 am asking if he could check his shoe. We sent him back to bed & he came back at 5:45am & then we checked our shoes.
And I decided to try taking pictures in the dark...yeah, I really need to work on this.
But, Lucy really liked looking at the tree of lights.
And Andrew really liked looking at Lucy.
Last night we promised the kids dessert, however, it was way too late by the time we got to it, so...they got to have pie for breakfast! (Don't worry they had something healthy as well.) Andrew is feeding his new R2D2 toy pie also. Goofy boy.
Happy kids!
And Rick has done this "Run, Run, Run, Jump" thing with the kids for years once they get a diaper change. The older kids still love it. And, Lucy loves it, too.

As this video shows, she does like it.

Super Speller

Okay, can I just to brag for just a second because I'm excited for Joseph? He was the only 2nd grader (out of the 4 invited to take the test) to qualify for the school Spelling Bee! He did this after only studying the 450 words for a night (2 hours) and 1 hour in the morning before school before he took the qualifying test. I'm proud of his hard work :) and his cramming abilities. He is a much better speller than I am. Now onto the hard work of learning the next 1150 words for real for the Spelling Bee next month.

Like I Said...

Lexie really likes to have Lucy walk on her face. And have me take pictures of it, too.

A New Camera

I finally got a new camera & it came in the mail today. I really have no idea how to use it, but we'll see how much I can learn as I go along.
Here's the first picture I got on it. I sure love this sweet girl!
And that was the second. Once the kids got home from school they wanted to just take picture after picture being happy about having a new camera.
One thing is for sure the resolution is much better than my old one. And Lexie also has some rad moves!
And Joseph does not want to be outdone by his big sister.
My cute kiddos. We'll have many more pictures of them on here now, if I can figure out how to work things.
Another thing I noticed while trying some stuff, I cannot believe how sharp my carpet looks in this picture. You'd think I vacuumed every single day by this picture. (Which I don't.) Nice.
And I found this picture on Rick's phone. He got her to sleep with her bink tonight. She does not enjoy her bink but I guess if she's desperate enough, she'll take it. Isn't she cute?

Our Happy Girl

Our happy girl who needs to sleep more...she really does well, but sometimes she wakes up a bit too early. :)

Stocking Fun & More

Today started out with a cute girl taking a little morning snooze.
And then she took a little walk-on Lexie's face. Lexie loves this, not sure why, but it cracks me up.
Then I finally remembered that we hadn't hung up the stockings. But first Eliza had to try them on.
Yep, they look like socks.
Lexie joined in, too.
 Yes! A perfect fit!
And they also work well as pants for those who don't like to keep there clothes on around here.
Then we decided to see if Lucy wanted to wear a stocking. It was quite snug.  But she was happy to have a go at it anyway. We hung her on the stair railing with great care.
Today we also got the lights hung. It was a balmy 60 degrees today & we loved it. It does not feel at all like December around here though. I'm sure it will come later, though. The kids really enjoyed running around outside riding bikes & playing tag while Dad was up on the roof.

I think we have a fun month in store. It's certainly off to a great start!
