Lucy's Blessing

Five years ago today, Andrew was blessed. It's really neat that today was Lucy's blessing day. Easy for us to remember.
Here are some pictures of all of the kiddos all ready to go to Church.

Eliza loves to hold the hymnbook at church & sing.
It was a sweet blessing for a sweet little girl. We are so blessed to have her in our home & look forward to watching her grow into a wonderful, righteous example of Christ. I love baby blessings!

Soccer Games

Both of the boys had soccer games this morning. Joseph's game was first. He warmed up a bit with Grandpa before he did with his team & then Andrew kicked around a bit.
The girls really loved cheering for Joseph.
Joseph is really good at hustling to get the ball now. Each game he gets better and better.
Joseph started feeling sick 3/4 of the way through his game. No more bressert! Gratefully the feeling ick didn't last too long. But it gave us time to hurry over to Andrew's game across the park.
Andrew really surprised us at this game. He figured out how to score. He scored 4 times & Grandma recorded 3 of them. We still need to work on the "on the same team" concept, but he sure had a great time. Yay for fun soccer days!

Bressert

We went out for breakfast this morning. After the kids ate their breakfast, Joseph asked Grandma & Grandpa for "bressert" (you know, after breakfast dessert). Of course Grandpa gave in.
They were pretty excited about it.
Eliza liked the balloons & looking for the cow who was "sleeping."
And she had ice for bressert.

Soccer Practice

Rick's parents came today for the weekend to come to Lucy's baby blessing. They also go to come for our crazy soccer days, but they are fun days. Joseph had practice tonight & all the kids love going because they have a fun park to play on & some of the other siblings of other kids on the team are there are fun for them to also play with. Grandma got lots of pictures of them on the playground.

And Joseph had a good practice.

And afterwards, Joseph got a few kicks in with Grandpa.

Time Out

Little Eliza fell asleep in time out after being there for only just a minute. That really explains a lot.
Glad she got a little rest, maybe we'll have a happier afternoon.

Peek-a-Boo

Eliza loves Lucy. She loves to lie by Lucy when she gets a diaper change. Then Eliza continued to play with Lucy. I smiled so big as she played peek-a-boo with Lucy. Lucy, of course didn't quite get it, but Eliza was cracking up. I love how sweetly she plays with Lucy, hope it keeps up.

A Haircut

Tonight, after about 2 years, I finally got a hair cut. It's been a long time coming. I only got about 18 inches cut off. Plenty to donate to Locks of Love.
It's so nice to finally have it done!

Girl's Reading Night

Tonight Lexie & I got to go to Girl's Reading Night. It was a space theme. It was so much fun!
We started out in the cafeteria & made constellations with pretzels and marshmallows. That was a lot of fun.
Then we headed into the Gym & got to crawl into an inflatable planetarium and learned stories about different constellations. This was Lexie's favorite part. It was really awesome.
Next we went to the Music Room and read some books about space. We read about Neil Armstrong, Pluto, and Mercury. We learned a few new things. And lastly, we headed into the Library and learned about 4 women in flight; Amelia Earhart, Mae Jemison, Sally Ride, and Bessy Coleman. We learned a lot and then we had a quiz about what we learned.
Lexie really loved it. She thought it was so much fun! I'm glad she let me come with her, because it was a lot of fun.

Lunch Buddies

I love how these 2 are such buddies and cheeses! They love to have the same lunches as each other every single day.
And it's nice they entertain each other well enough because I have this to clean up today. Costumes anyone?
