And these two (and the rest of us) just can't get enough of her!

Andrew's FHE Lesson
Since Rick is going out of town for the week, we had Family Home Evening tonight. It was Andrew's turn for the lesson. He did a really good job. He is so creative. And he worked SO hard on it. It was awesome. For his lesson he wanted to make a game. He drew up a game board, made pieces for each team, and had Rick help him write out the different scenerioes for the game. He had things like:
You need to empty the dishwasher but instead you keep playing with toys. 0 points.
You take a toy. 0 points.
You empty the dishwasher without being asked. 98 points.
You clean the house without being asked. You don't throw up when you are sick and your family is eating pizza. 99 points.
You take a toy from your baby sister. When mom asks why sister is crying you say you don't know why. 0 points.
You quickly get a phone when needed. 2 points.
Mom & Dad ask you to get your baby brother or sister a treat. You don't want to because it is your favorite treat. Mom says if you do it they will buy more of your favorite treats for you at the store. 16 points.
You took a toy from your brother and accidentally broke it and lied to mom. 0 points.
It made us all laugh when Joseph & I got 99 points on our first draw then 98 so we had to go backwards & then 16 so we went back to 16. But we won with that as Andrew & Rick got 0 points & Lexie & Eliza got 2.
There may be a few flaws with all of the rules, but we had a blast & Andrew was so happy with it and we had fun together as a family. And really, that's all that matters.

This little girl is ready to stay up and watch the big BYU game!
She really hopes the Cougars win!Unfortunately, they didn't...but they made it another exciting one.

Little Twinners
These two are becoming inseparable. Granted, partly because of their age and when Andrew is around Eliza is there, but if Mom or Dad are doing something with Lucy, Eliza wants to be right there doing the same thing. She insisted on getting a blanket and being "wrapped up" too. It's very cute to watch. Eliza is also getting much better with Lucy being in the house. She's always been really sweet with her, just new tantrums for us. But, those are starting to subside & that makes us very grateful!

Meet Me at the Fair
The kids did a great job in the Primary Program today. It's always a great Sunday. But to add to the greatness, Lexie, Joseph, and Andrew put a fair together for Rick & me in the basement. We first played a game where we moved the blocks with sunglasses. We had to see who could move the most in one minute.
Then we got to use the blocks & build a tower. We had to start with at least 4 for the foundation & then see who could build the tallest one in one minute.I won that one, too. We would win more tickets after each game to play more games.
Next we had a lego building race. The best boat in 2 minutes. I won that one, too.
Unfortantely, Eliza & Lucy weren't being too happy, so we couldn't finish the fair. We'll have to do it another day. But it was a lot of fun. And we get to look forward to the puzzle race, bowling, animal catching & other games I can't even remember.
Happy Sunday
Here's hoping they all stay this happy at church today! These kids really are the best! And today is the Primary Program! They're ready & it's going to be a great day!

Soccer Day
Saturday is a soccer day! And will be for awhile. Joseph started soccer practice this week! He's been begging to play soccer for a few years now. He enjoyed practice & was super excited for his game.
My friend, Melanie, coaches a team & needed a few more players & Andrew fit the age group, so we added him to her team. He was excited to have lots of his friends on his team.He got to play his first game without ever practicing or knowing much about soccer. But he had a blast & on the way home he yelled, "I LOVE SOCCER!"
Joseph also had a game today & he had a blast & did a good job keeping up with the ball & kicking.
We are definitely a soccer household for the fall. It's going to keep us plenty busy but I think it will also bring us a lot of fun (we hope)!

Lil' Lucy's Photo Shoot
My dear friend, Kristin, was kind enough to come & take photos for us of Lucy & the family like she did for Eliza when Lucy was 8 days old. She does such an awesome job! (Especially considering how crusty Eliza & Lucy were during this photo shoot. I'm impressed she had anything to work with.) We love these pictures & the memories.
The kids with Eliza holding her bribe-a cookie. (I let her have it too soon...) And the kids were all begging for a chance to hold Lucy. Andrew won on this picture.
The kiddos with Eliza eating said cookie. I love it!
The family.SuperDad! One night a few weeks back while Rick was taking the kids to bed he had the older 4 all over him like this & we though, "Oh boy, we are so running out of room on the Daddy Playground! What will it be like once the baby comes?" Well, it looks something like this. Rick really is SuperDad.
So precious, Daddy holding his little girl. She seems to always be so content with him.
Our cheesy, goofy children! We love all their personalities!
How we love these awesome kids of ours!
Lexie LOVES to hold Lucy! Sometimes we have to pry her from Lexie's arms.Wide-eyed. Lucy decided she wasn't going to sleep for her shoot.
But she was photogenic still for some of it.
And she was going to be pretty hungry.
She started to get a little tired. She was so snugly once we wrapped her up.
Finally she slept (for about 30 seconds) once she took her bink.
Then she was bright eyed & bushy tailed-er flowered- for us. But I love how serene she is here & how perfect she looks.
We love how perfect her sweet face is here. She is such a precious little angel & we love her to pieces!
Thank you, Kristin, for taking these awesome pictures for us! These sweet kids of ours don't stay little too long, it's great to catch these memories so we can remember the adventure with them.
Three Weeks Old
Lucy is three weeks old & she just keeps on growing! It's amazing how quickly the little tiny baby look fades-that's not fair!
Eliza is smitten. She is such a great helper for Lucy & is starting to get back to her normal sweet self. Sometimes I think not quickly enough, but we'll take what we can get. I really need to record her sweet voice when she says, "Hi, Lucy!" It makes me smile every time.
We love our sweet, ever alert Lucy. She's a keeper!

A Birthday Party: Finally!
Since we cancelled Andrew's friend birthday party because Lucy decided to come, we finally got around to having it today. Rick took all of the kids to Jumpstreet for some fun. And they all had a blast! (This was seriously one of the easiest parties ever.) Everyone got to jump all they wanted & swing into the foam pit all they wanted & Lexie even rode on a mechanical bull (not her favorite thing she's ever done)!
After jumping for 2 hours, Rick brought everyone back to our house for cake, presents & the much asked for (by Andrew ever since the 16th) goody bags. We're glad we could finally have his party. He sure loves his buddies & is bummed they aren't all in his Kindergarten class. At least they'll always have play dates.

Sand Art
The kids got a glow in the dark sand art kit for Christmas & today we finally made some fun sand art. They were so good about taking turns & not making messes. I was rather impressed.
Lexie loves taking "Lucy breaks."Everyone was happy with how everything turned out. They tested them out right away, too, to make sure they really glow & the do.
As a side note, we cannot get enough of this cute girl's double chin! So stinkin' cute!
