Afternoon at the Zoo

Today was a free day at the zoo, so after Lexie & Joseph were done with school we ran over for a couple of hours. The weather was awesome & because we went so late it wasn't very crowded. We enjoyed seeing lots of animals & running around.

Fire Station Visit

For playgroup we got to visit the fire station. It was so much fun. We learned the names of their clothing, saw where they slept, saw their pet salamander, asked questions, climbed through the truck, & they even put on a little magic show. Good times.

Andrew's New Trick

For some reason, today Andrew decided to start walking up the stairs. And attempted walking down them. And he opened the basement door all by himself. And he went down to play all by himself.

How Patriotic

In Kindergarten they recite these (almost) everyday. Lexie really wanted to share it tonight. We love watching our kids learn. They really make us smile.

All morning long Andrew kept moving the stool over to climb up on the counter & get into the treat bowl. Living on a diet of dum dums is alright, isn't it?

Introducing Sparkles

Sparkles is our butterfly. We made her for Lexie's Valentine's box at school. It had to be an animal, so after going from a cheetah, to a dolphin, to a cat, to an elephant...she finally decided on a butterfly. Lexie got to stay up late doing her homework (she almost fell asleep in her chair). She was so tired up until it was finished, & suddenly she wasn't tired anymore. She had a great time making decisions on what paper to use, the design, & especially decorating it with all of her sparkles & hearts.

"I am the VIP!"

This week Lexie gets to be VIP in her Kindergarten class. She was so excited to get her pictures all together & decorate her poster.

Ballerina Sisters

I know this will stop one day, but for now, it is so funny & cute. They decided to play "Ballerina Sisters" & did a great job posing for their pictures.

Lexie even made Joseph put a shirt on underneath his outfit so "he could be modest."
